Fall foot care

Sunny summer days are already behind us. We want to give you some advice on how to maintain a proper health routine for your feet all year long.

Now that the temperature is colder, we are more likely to hide our feet in cozy socks and closed shoes. However, it is still important to pay close attention to your feet to avoid problems.

Obviously, a proper foot care requires a good cleaning everyday and also a drying routine, especially between the toes. The next step is usually the most forgotten : the hydration of your skin. Applying a layer of hydrating cream on the sole of your feet everyday can help preventing cracks and fissures.

Also, proceed regularly to your toenails care. To soften your nails before, you can soak your feet in warm water or take a bath. To avoid an ingrown toenail, do not cut the corners of your nails. Leave a « square » shape instead of a rounded shape. Use a nail file if needed for a safe finish.

If you experience pain or any other foot problem, book an appointment with your podiatrist. He will treat you adequately and will give you many tips on how to maintain your feet healthy all year long.
